Ahoy Matey

Well a glorious washing day today which is why I am posting a bit late, every time I intend to post a bit sooner things crop up, don't you get that, so on to my card, and this week I am covering two challenges from my favourite blogs an they are I(heart )pro-markers and  A Passion for pro-markers, this weeks theme over at a passion for pro-markers is Arrrrghggh  PIRATES, hehe, and over at I love pro-markers its a sketch this week given to us by Karen and its a good un I can tell ya,

So rather than tamper with it, as it has been a while since I have tried a sketch challenge, I kept it simply as it is, and here’s what I came up with

The image is Pirate Tilda and I have coloured her in pro-markers

Skin tones: Ivory, Vanilla and Saffron

Hair: Ivory, Canary and Tulip yellow

Top: Canary yellow, Mustard and Pastel yellow

Trousers: Lime Green, Moss and Olive

Boots: Tan, Sandstone and Caramel

A gem of a challenge #24 Sketch

and as always, a close up,  I have used forever friends collection papers,  on to Kraft cardstock by paper mania, tags by WRMK and greeting is Molly Blooms, and my new  Tilda  whom I shall treasure, lol love magnolia stamps.

Oh well why not !!

I did tell you that i did not feel comfortable with my first attempt so i tried again, and here's what i come up with, something a little more spring like,  so perfect for tilde.

 

And here’s the close up, I'm really pleased with my colouring  of Tilde.

The Challenge I am entering is the Just Magnolia challenges and here is the sketch we have to follow, to be honest i was quite unsure where to start especially when it came to co-coordinating my papers, oh wait here i go again give me a minute while i convince myself that i cant do it, i thought i was over it after the lovely comments i got from the simply stampin challenge, a big thank you to the ladies who left a comment, i do appreciate it, it gives me the push i need to do more, i have completed the card for this challenge but i am reluctant to post it as i feel it could have been better.  

 

                                          

 

 

 

 

 

Pretty Tilda

 

I made this card for Paul's mum and she absolutely adored it( i could say she was drawn to tears) i went all out on this one as i wanted her to know in my own way that she was appreciated, i coloured Tilda in pro-markers, and i did a lot of blending between shades and i so impressed my self, i am still learning as i keep finding new ways to use them, i also added Tilda on the insert, and just stamped her in early espresso ink SU, the ruffled border was punched out with embroidery edge puck and then put through a crimper i then split the cardstock apart and made two ruffled borders, hope you like it don't forget i don't mind sharing these tips with you so leave a comment.
