Gerbera challenge 114

DSCF1397

I absolutely adore this stamp from wood ware, I made this card for my sisters 7th wedding anniversary, I loved it so much that I went and ordered the rose and lily singles from the same collection, a really nice big bloom with lovely big petals to colour in. I coloured it in using pastel pink, sun kissed, and  putty pro-markers to blend the petals, the background uses mica pigment paint to give a paler image with the same stamp.

I am entering this card in to http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/challenge-114-flower-power-floral-image.html

Good luck to all the other entries, there is some really gorgeous cards.

Colour match challenge

Well I knew this one was not going to be easy but I am going to give it my best shot, the simply sassy design team this week is lead by Elaine and she has asked us to recreate the colours in this image, but not using the same image, MMMM I thought, so here’s Elaine’s image

Elaine

Beautiful colouring and I'm probably thinking she has used copic’s to colour her image so no matter what I think I will not be able to get my shades as close as I would like and hence the challenge

And here’s mine

sassy image

I myself have used my pro-markers  along with my prismas to try and recreate at least the same blended effects, you can get a better close up by clicking the image if you like, hope you like it, well done Elaine your blending is beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by, Hugs

Extra Bling with a side order of Fab-u-lous

I could not wait to get my hands on Kenny K’s booty -licious babe, she is a dream to colour in and I'm not finished as I want to try her in all different colours, you know you just cant get enough colouring time in its not fair, I kept the card quite simple because I want the image to stand out, this card is especially for this challenge over at Make it colourful, the theme is colouring dark skin and this is one of the trial and error problems that I had to overcome when I first got my pro-markers, so I made my self a colour reference guide, you will find it in one of my earlier posts, but I don't think I got any photos of the inside of the book, any way I'm waffling on here's my card for the challenge, hope you like it.

bling1

And a close up for you, I used my Pro-markers Tan, Caramel and Cocoa,  and Prisma’s  Burnt umber cardinal red and terracotta.

Check you later Gurlfriend.

More animal antics!!

I was meant to post this last night but got side tracked by Simply sassy and can I just say that Krista Smith’s new blog is looking really pretty, so head on over to take a peek, so on to my next challenge and this card I had made for my sister to give to her god daughter, and because I didn't know if she was a girly girl I kept to animals which is always a safe bet when doing kids cards, she is turning four, so I kept it quite basic actually compared to what I normally make, and here it is

godaugh-1

And a close up for you,

Simply Sassy

Artist and creator of  Simply Sassy stamps Krista  has totally got me hooked, her artwork and images are so different and to cool for school that I had to get my hands on a couple to have a play and play I did, I had so much fun, colouring these as they are so expression able,  and they take on their own personality that each one you could actually fit them to some one you know. I created this card using Pillow talk, link there for you, and I absolutely loved it now I never normally do this but I could not wait to colour the image and I started with the theme reds and hot pinks which really worked well, I used pro-markers crimson, lipstick red, hot pink, and cardinal red, skin tones I stuck to vanilla, saffron and ivory and for her hair I used cool greys 1,3,5 and black and here's what I came up with

julie2

And another view,

And a close up for you,

I would like to enter this in to the following challenges

Something a little different

Well I have never done this before, I was halfway through this card when I decided to change my image to fit the theme at Make it colourful, the theme is colouring hair not normal hair colours, I thought this was great as it gets you thinking how you are going to make the hair colour fit in with the colour theme of the card.

anya2

I used a blend of Pro-markers and Prismas, and chose purple for my hair colour, but I think it has more of a look like a purple rinse, like what older ladies have, its made my Anya look older than her years. I think next time I should choose funky bright colours so she does not have that rinsed look.

And here is a close up,

anya3

I started out with Saffron pro-marker then went over with Lilac, and then Amethyst, and then I deepened the curls with violet blue prisma pencil, I also came across another blog called Just some Lines they also do some excellent digi’s you should go over and have a look, they are currently running a challenge and the theme is Easel cards,  so I would like my Sideways easel to be entered for this challenge also, my die cut blank is custom die cut by Which craft Doncaster, I shall give you a top side view as the extra panel comes in a pack with envelopes as well.

ANYA5

Well I hope you like it thanks for stopping by, see you soon

gdad1

I used a golfer image which was a free download from do crafts creativity and coloured him in pro-markers, again I used minimal embellishments due to it being a mans card but i figured gem and twine and also some cotton binding would work really well, and on to the close up
