I'm writing this post for the Dt call at Crafting for all seasons, I love my craft, and work with a lot of mediums not just card ink and paper. Crafting for all seasons is  an excellent blog that hosts some exciting challenges use the link above and head over and have a look they have some wonderful design team members, who also have some very inspirational blogs which I find has helped me try new things all the time, they also have some wonderful sponsors, some of which I already use and I am  very familiar with, and I hope this reflects in the projects I am posting for the call hope you like them.

Extra Bling with a side order of Fab-u-lous

I could not wait to get my hands on Kenny K’s booty -licious babe, she is a dream to colour in and I'm not finished as I want to try her in all different colours, you know you just cant get enough colouring time in its not fair, I kept the card quite simple because I want the image to stand out, this card is especially for this challenge over at Make it colourful, the theme is colouring dark skin and this is one of the trial and error problems that I had to overcome when I first got my pro-markers, so I made my self a colour reference guide, you will find it in one of my earlier posts, but I don't think I got any photos of the inside of the book, any way I'm waffling on here's my card for the challenge, hope you like it.

And a close up for you, I used my Pro-markers Tan, Caramel and Cocoa,  and Prisma’s  Burnt umber cardinal red and terracotta.

Something a little different

Well I have never done this before, I was halfway through this card when I decided to change my image to fit the theme at Make it colourful, the theme is colouring hair not normal hair colours, I thought this was great as it gets you thinking how you are going to make the hair colour fit in with the colour theme of the card.

anya2

I used a blend of Pro-markers and Prismas, and chose purple for my hair colour, but I think it has more of a look like a purple rinse, like what older ladies have, its made my Anya look older than her years. I think next time I should choose funky bright colours so she does not have that rinsed look.

And here is a close up,

anya3

I started out with Saffron pro-marker then went over with Lilac, and then Amethyst, and then I deepened the curls with violet blue prisma pencil, I also came across another blog called Just some Lines they also do some excellent digi’s you should go over and have a look, they are currently running a challenge and the theme is Easel cards,  so I would like my Sideways easel to be entered for this challenge also, my die cut blank is custom die cut by Which craft Doncaster, I shall give you a top side view as the extra panel comes in a pack with envelopes as well.

Well I hope you like it thanks for stopping by, see you soon

Yummy Scrummy

Just a quick post today its very rare that i post on a week end  but, wanted to share this with you, my partner Paul and daughter Holly have been baking so, I quickly made them up these cute cake toppers, I used cherry cobbler SU/CS and whisper white and stamped back and front secured with a hot glue gun and cocktail stick, although the cakes have not been decorated yet I could not wait for them to do that and decided to take some picks anyway, what do you think.

Mother and Baby

Its always good news when some one announces  that they are expecting,  being a mother of two myself it does not seem real unless you tell some one and that's when all the well wishes come in, and i know what it feels like to be broody especially seeing all the design team cards on Passion for pro-markers challenge 106 where the theme is babies, as Emma is expecting, congratulations Emma, so with all those thoughts of how i felt when i first told my family that i was expecting my second child, my daughter Holly, I made this card for the challenge using a stamp which was perfect, and here it is.

mother3-1

I used card blanks from Which craft in Doncaster the rectangle scallop has been scored to form an easel, an open scallop at the front holds the sentiment, and a square open  scallop on the front, papers are DCWV, and ribbon from stash buttons are Stampin up customised with itty bitty punch pack and co-coordinating stamps. And as always the close up of the embellishments,

These mock pearls i made by accident as my glue gun was left on and started to drip so i thought I would put some glitter over them while they were still warm and this is what it finished looking like. I am also entering this card in to some other challenges-:

Craft your Passion: Anything goes

Creative Stamp friends: Dots

Kaboodle doodles: Celebrations

And also Make it Monday: Anything goes, I wish everyone the best of luck with their challenges, and thanks so much for passing through. x

New release Chloe

Just received mine this morning and i am over the moon could not wait to get her inked up and I tried so hard to stay away from pinks like I normally do and thought blue and yellow, Just like my first kitchen in my first home with my son Fabian. The theme over at Pink Gem is Bloomin Charmin (blooms and charms) and I had ordered mine in anticipation that they would arrive so I could ready my card for the challenge. Oh how happy was I when they arrived this morning so got to work straight away and this is what I came up with,

chloe1

You can click on the photo to get a better view, just a rundown for you we have on here, Chloe with butterflies a new release  from Pink Gem coloured with pro-markers and then blended with my prisma pencils for more shading and depth, mounted on to blue card from my stash and layered on to a card blank exclusive to Which craft and made this in to an easel card using other die cuts available in the pack. I also stamped and shrunk some butterflies on to plastic for a few handmade embellishments and die cut a flourish using Marianne  creatable, the sentiment is from Raindrop echo designs mini stamp stamps and dies Supplied by Whimsy  stamps.

chloe2

I am entering this card in to my firm favourite Pink gem and Emerald faeries, where the challenge is to use petals, which is great, they also have some great inspiration from the design team, so pop on over this is challenge number three, so lets show them some support also, Top tip Tuesday where the challenge is open to anything, so as usual i always provide a good close up.

chloe3

Less is definitely more

Here is my entry for the LIM challenge the theme is white on white, no coloured images. I have layered up whisper white cardstock on to 4x4’’  easel card and used dotted embossing folder, on to a plain layer, i then added an oval sentiment on to a scalloped oval, then added white vellum flowers and used a pearl brad and a couple of gems, ribbon was taken from my sisters sewing stash its like a ribbed white cotton ribbon very understated my other white ribbon was to wide for this size card. Hope you like it.
