Just a quick thanks

I just wanted to pop on and show you a couple of projects that we did in workshop, if I am honest I am not overly confident that people are going to like the projects that I do but the whole point of being a crafter is sharing what you love and I feel I have done this in bucket loads and I sincerely hope it came across.

bindbox1

Its a 4x4 box that can hold jewellery or pot pourri  or other special objects, I could think of loads of uses for it or you can just pop your pens in there, on your craft desk.

bindbox2

I want to say a special thanks to Jo for having the confidence in me to try a workshop for myself, and for the ladies for being so forgiving about my little mishaps, they are a wonderful bunch of ladies, and they are so much fun, and also a special thanks to Tracey, all your help was well appreciated and I was so glad to have it you would not believe nerves gets the better of me as I used to be a lone crafter and not socialise at all until I met Jo and the rest of the group you really have brought me out of my shell.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

Something a little different

Well I have never done this before, I was halfway through this card when I decided to change my image to fit the theme at Make it colourful, the theme is colouring hair not normal hair colours, I thought this was great as it gets you thinking how you are going to make the hair colour fit in with the colour theme of the card.

anya2

I used a blend of Pro-markers and Prismas, and chose purple for my hair colour, but I think it has more of a look like a purple rinse, like what older ladies have, its made my Anya look older than her years. I think next time I should choose funky bright colours so she does not have that rinsed look.

And here is a close up,

anya3

I started out with Saffron pro-marker then went over with Lilac, and then Amethyst, and then I deepened the curls with violet blue prisma pencil, I also came across another blog called Just some Lines they also do some excellent digi’s you should go over and have a look, they are currently running a challenge and the theme is Easel cards,  so I would like my Sideways easel to be entered for this challenge also, my die cut blank is custom die cut by Which craft Doncaster, I shall give you a top side view as the extra panel comes in a pack with envelopes as well.

Well I hope you like it thanks for stopping by, see you soon

gdad1

I used a golfer image which was a free download from do crafts creativity and coloured him in pro-markers, again I used minimal embellishments due to it being a mans card but i figured gem and twine and also some cotton binding would work really well, and on to the close up

Yummy Scrummy

Just a quick post today its very rare that i post on a week end  but, wanted to share this with you, my partner Paul and daughter Holly have been baking so, I quickly made them up these cute cake toppers, I used cherry cobbler SU/CS and whisper white and stamped back and front secured with a hot glue gun and cocktail stick, although the cakes have not been decorated yet I could not wait for them to do that and decided to take some picks anyway, what do you think.

Connie the cow

I have always wanted to do this technique but never got around to it so last week I had a go, and this is what i came up with, a one layer card with Connie my favourite cow with a spot light on her gorgeous face, I used my pro-markers and also my prismas for the spot light and also I used my sketching pencils to shade the B+W areas I finished off with a birthday greeting, all in all the quickest card i have ever done, Top tip though always check on some scrap of the same king of card to see if it will take pro-markers without bleeding. I am entering this for the Cupcake craft challenge one of my favourite challenge blogs.

Mother and Baby

Its always good news when some one announces  that they are expecting,  being a mother of two myself it does not seem real unless you tell some one and that's when all the well wishes come in, and i know what it feels like to be broody especially seeing all the design team cards on Passion for pro-markers challenge 106 where the theme is babies, as Emma is expecting, congratulations Emma, so with all those thoughts of how i felt when i first told my family that i was expecting my second child, my daughter Holly, I made this card for the challenge using a stamp which was perfect, and here it is.

mother3-1

I used card blanks from Which craft in Doncaster the rectangle scallop has been scored to form an easel, an open scallop at the front holds the sentiment, and a square open  scallop on the front, papers are DCWV, and ribbon from stash buttons are Stampin up customised with itty bitty punch pack and co-coordinating stamps. And as always the close up of the embellishments,

These mock pearls i made by accident as my glue gun was left on and started to drip so i thought I would put some glitter over them while they were still warm and this is what it finished looking like. I am also entering this card in to some other challenges-:

Craft your Passion: Anything goes

Creative Stamp friends: Dots

Kaboodle doodles: Celebrations

And also Make it Monday: Anything goes, I wish everyone the best of luck with their challenges, and thanks so much for passing through. x
